About the Role

Alogayell Consulting Engineers is seeking a Tendering & Estimation Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is designed for an engineer with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on supporting the preparation of technical and financial proposals for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) works. The successful candidate will contribute to reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, assisting with cost estimates, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure competitive and compliant tender submissions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the review and analysis of MEP tender documents, drawings, BOQs, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Support the identification of missing information, discrepancies, technical risks, exclusions, and scope gaps within tender documents.
• Contribute to preparing Requests for Information (RFIs), technical queries, and tender clarifications for clients and consultants.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs for all MEP systems, including materials, labor, and equipment.
• Aid in preparing comprehensive cost estimates, rate analyses, and pricing schedules.
• Assist in obtaining, reviewing, and comparing technical and commercial quotations from approved suppliers and subcontractors.
• Support the preparation of complete MEP technical proposals and tender submissions, including project methodologies and compliance statements.
• Participate in developing competitive pricing strategies and reviewing contractual conditions, payment terms, and project risks.
• Help compile complete technical and financial tender packages, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
• Maintain tender records, cost databases, quotations, and historical pricing information.

MEP Systems Coverage

The role requires an understanding of, or willingness to learn about, tendering and estimation for the following MEP systems:

• HVAC systems
• Plumbing and drainage systems
• Firefighting and fire protection systems
• Electrical power distribution
• Lighting and emergency lighting systems
• Earthing and lightning protection systems
• Fire alarm systems
• Data and structured cabling systems
• CCTV and access-control systems
• Public address and audiovisual systems
• Building management systems
• Testing, commissioning, and authority approvals

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of experience in tendering and estimation, preferably within MEP works.
• Exposure to or interest in large-scale, multidisciplinary, fit-out, or design-build projects.
• Understanding of or willingness to learn about Saudi market rates and approved MEP manufacturers.
• Familiarity with or willingness to learn about the Saudi Building Code and local authority requirements.
• Membership in the Saudi Council of Engineers is required.
• Professional certifications in cost estimation, contracts, or project management are considered an advantage.
