About the Opportunity

AECOM Saudi Arabia is seeking an Urban Planner IV to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves developing and evaluating plans and criteria for various projects, assessing the feasibility of proposed planning products, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in urban planning.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate plans and criteria for projects and activities to be carried out by others.
• Assess the feasibility and soundness of proposed planning products.
• Serve as a staff advisor and consultant on technical specialties, facility types, industry, equipment, or program functions.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
• Oversee specialized planning functions, including large-scale new development proposals and environmental studies.
• Provide overall management of IE-related planning issues.
• Advise the Planning Director on all planning-related matters.
• Advise various councils, boards, commissions, and elected officials on planning-related issues.
• Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities.
• Prepare reports on operations and activities, recommending improvements and modifications.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in urban planning or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and evaluate complex plans and criteria.
• Experience in assessing the feasibility and soundness of planning proposals.
• Strong understanding of local, state, and federal laws relevant to urban planning.
• Experience in overseeing specialized planning functions, such as large-scale development and environmental studies.
