Job Description

About the Vault Operator Role

Thales is seeking a detail-oriented and highly responsible Vault Operator to ensure the secure handling, storage, and management of sensitive materials. This full-time position in Riyadh requires a commitment to maintaining strict access control, accurate inventory records, and full compliance with security protocols and regulatory standards, while safeguarding confidentiality and supporting efficient vault operations. Thales has a significant presence in Saudi Arabia, contributing to the country's critical infrastructure security and e-security solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily vault operations, including the secure storage and handling of sensitive equipment, documents, and materials.
  • Enforce strict security protocols for vault access, ensuring only authorized personnel enter using badges, biometrics, and logs.
  • Maintain accurate entry and exit records, and monitor access logs for audit purposes.
  • Receive, store, and issue items based on approved documentation or system requests.
  • Keep detailed inventory records, including serial numbers and batch tracking, ensuring proper labeling and traceability.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Prepare secure packaging and coordinate the safe transfer of high-value or classified materials.
  • Generate reports on inventory status, access activities, and any incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Immediately report any security breaches, discrepancies, or suspicious activities.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation.
  • Adhere to safety, confidentiality, and data protection standards.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others.
  • Actively participate in achieving Thales' HSE policy and objectives.
  • Comply with local HSE laws and legislation.
  • Use required safety equipment, including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Promote conservation of water and energy, waste minimization, and recycling.
  • Report any health and safety concerns immediately to a line manager and the HSE department.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in the following is required:

  • Microsoft Excel for data entry, inventory tracking, and reporting.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint for report preparation and presentations.
  • Experience with ERP systems for inventory and material management.
  • General proficiency with MS Office suite.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
