About the Role

Al Tayer Group, a prominent luxury retail leader in the Middle East, is seeking a Warehouse & Fulfilment Operations Manager to oversee operations in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience in warehousing and distribution.

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to manage the daily operations of the warehouse, encompassing product receiving, efficient storage, and timely distribution. The position is responsible for ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction by overseeing the entire product lifecycle from warehousing to customer/store order fulfillment and last-mile delivery. This includes managing eCommerce last-mile operations to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and maintain customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement country-specific strategies for business growth.
• Execute the annual plan for warehouse and last-mile operations, managing associated budgets and monitoring performance against financial parameters.
• Implement and refine warehouse work processes and flows to ensure adherence to policies and procedures, optimizing efficiency and minimizing costs.
• Manage warehouse efficiency through product tracking, route analysis, and re-routing recommendations to optimize space and operations.
• Oversee the disposal of expired and obsolete goods to maintain company quality standards.
• Direct and optimize the full order cycle to fulfillment.
• Collaborate with buying, merchandising, retail, and digital teams to align services and delivery capacity with business plans and demand.
• Manage strategic, commercial, and operational relationships with third-party logistics partners.
• Develop and implement processes to enhance the customer experience.
• Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, transportation costs, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure the timeliness and integrity of all inventory transactions.
• Identify and recommend opportunities for improvement in logistics, warehousing, and transit times.
• Monitor and ensure timely execution of delivery time commitments.
• Manage assigned vehicle facilities and ensure preventive maintenance of the fleet.
• Review operational processes from a risk management perspective, identifying and escalating new risks.
• Maintain Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) practices in the work environment to prevent property damage and injuries.

People Management

• Guide and motivate subordinates to enhance performance and ensure continuous development.
• Provide direction to Talent Acquisition regarding required skills and experience for new hires.
• Support new recruits through their probation period.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching, and development activities to ensure team productivity.
• Communicate operational performance and upcoming events to the team.
• Support the management of employee engagement and disciplinary matters, ensuring adherence to company processes and values.
• Foster a positive work environment to reduce attrition, sickness, and absence.
• Utilize company reward structures and recognition schemes to acknowledge outstanding performance.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Degree/Diploma, preferably in logistics/supply chain disciplines, or equivalent experience. Postgraduate studies or training in relevant disciplines are an advantage.
• 6-8 years of experience in warehousing and distribution, with knowledge of the retail sector, specifically perfumes and cosmetics, and the local market.
• Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets.
• Good knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and last-mile delivery systems is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
