The Role: Work Package Director

Egis is seeking a Work Package Director to join our Project Administration and Supervision Consultancy Services (PASC) team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to leading our PASC team in the delivery of a highly specialized Logistics Project. The Director will serve as a shared resource within the core management team across the broader PMC program, holding overall responsibility for project success and completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee project performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations and KPIs.
  • Serve as a senior team member and leader, maintaining direct communication with key Client stakeholders.
  • Assume overall responsibility for the successful delivery and completion of the project.
  • Represent the Client with full delegated authority.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of consultants and contractors, supported by the PMC team.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for public agencies, corporations, government officials, and stakeholders.
  • Provide timely advice and regular progress updates to the Client’s portfolio team.
  • Lead, motivate, and guide the PMC team to ensure effective collaboration and high performance.
  • Proactively communicate and share relevant information with the Client, design teams, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor audits to ensure thoroughness and supply chain adherence to contractual requirements and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve issues promptly that could impact project timeline, budget, quality, safety, or Client reputation.
  • Ensure optimal allocation and utilization of PMC team resources for project outcomes.
  • Drive initiatives for cost savings and operational efficiencies in the procurement process.
  • Safeguard the PMC team's commercial interests and manage financial and contractual matters effectively.
  • Oversee the change management process and foster innovation initiatives.
  • Develop, monitor, and update the project schedule, ensuring milestones are met.
  • Provide regular progress reports (weekly/monthly or as required) to the Client.
  • Establish and maintain a comprehensive communication plan for effective information flow and coordination.
  • Lead in managing project risks related to program, cost, and quality, ensuring mitigation strategies are in place.
  • Resolve conflicts swiftly to minimize negative impacts on project progress.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 20 years of experience in urban planning and infrastructure projects.
  • At least 10 years of experience in a managerial role within the specified fields.
  • Background as a Design Office Director, supervising designers and projects across all stages of design, supervision, and construction.
