About the Role

Red Sea Global Hospitality is seeking a Cluster Director – Health, Safety & Risk to join its leadership team. This senior role is central to pioneering responsible development and regenerative tourism by safeguarding the well-being of guests, employees, and assets across a portfolio of luxury, sustainability-driven properties in unique destinations within the Tabuk region of Saudi Arabia. Reporting to the Corporate Hospitality Director of Operations, the successful candidate will lead the strategic development and implementation of the portfolio's Health, Safety & Risk framework, ensuring compliance with all regulatory mandates, industry best practices, and Red Sea Global Hospitality's standards. This includes overseeing comprehensive health and safety programs, risk management, crisis preparedness, and emergency response planning to maintain operational integrity across all managed properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive portfolio-wide Health, Safety & Risk strategy aligned with operational, sustainability, and guest experience objectives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all applicable legislation, regulations, industry standards, and Red Sea Global Hospitality policies across the property portfolio.
  • Act as a strategic partner to General Managers, operators, corporate teams, and government authorities to foster consistent and high-standard Health, Safety & Risk practices.
  • Promote and cultivate a culture of accountability, heightened risk awareness, and continuous improvement throughout all managed properties.
  • Establish robust governance frameworks, clear reporting standards, and effective performance metrics to monitor compliance and operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee all Health, Safety & Wellbeing programs across the portfolio, ensuring alignment with international best practices and local regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify enhancement opportunities and ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Support property leadership teams in creating and maintaining safe working environments for employees, contractors, and guests.
  • Drive initiatives that promote employee wellbeing, enhance safety awareness, and foster operational excellence.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of appropriate incident reporting, investigation, and corrective action processes.
  • Lead the development and maintenance of robust risk management, emergency response, and business continuity plans for the entire portfolio.

  • Support properties in identifying potential vulnerabilities and implementing preventative measures to safeguard guests, employees, assets, and the company's reputation.
  • Review security-related incidents and trends, ensuring lessons learned and preventative actions are implemented across the portfolio.
  • Ensure Health, Safety & Risk practices are integrated into the luxury guest experience.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, Environmental Management, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in Health, Safety, Risk Management, Loss Prevention, Security Governance, or related operational disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience leading Health, Safety & Risk programs across multiple properties, large-scale hospitality operations, mixed-use developments, or destination environments.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and work effectively across multiple operators, brands, and business functions.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with a proven ability to drive a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
