Red Sea Global (RSG) is a developer of regenerative tourism destinations. Red Sea Sports & Entertainment (RSSE), a dedicated subsidiary of RSG, is responsible for designing and delivering land and marine experiences at The Red Sea destination. RSSE manages and operates a diverse portfolio of sports, adventure, and leisure offerings, including water sports through Galaxea. RSSE plays a strategic role in the partnership between Red Sea Global and the Saudi Olympic & Paralympic Committee, promoting inclusive, accessible, and world-class sports and recreational experiences aligned with Saudi Vision 2030.

Role Summary

The Head Technician is a full-time, site-based role located in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. This position is responsible for ensuring the operational readiness, safety, and reliability of all dive-related equipment across assigned assets. The role involves overseeing the day-to-day management, inspection, servicing, repair, and recordkeeping of dive equipment, ensuring all assets function as intended and are maintained in line with manufacturer recommendations, local regulations, company standards, and operational requirements. The Head Technician reports directly to the Manager – Dive Operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day technical management of diving equipment, including inspection, testing, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Support the planning and development of equipment requirements for current and future dive center assets.
  • Provide technical support to other dive center locations as required to maintain consistent equipment standards.
  • Assist in preparing, setting up, and commissioning dive center equipment and related technical components during the pre-opening phase.
  • Coordinate with relevant RSG departments to ensure equipment requirements, operational readiness, and project milestones are achieved.
  • Establish maintenance schedules, inventory controls, spare-parts planning, and technical documentation prior to opening.
  • Maintain high equipment operating standards post-opening, with safety as the first priority.
  • Ensure all dive center equipment maintenance, servicing, and repairs are completed professionally, accurately, and within required timelines.
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all dive-related equipment, tools, spare parts, and technical assets.
  • Keep complete and accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, servicing, repairs, faults, and corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with the Dive Center Manager and operational teams to ensure sufficient spare parts and consumables are available.
  • Build effective working relationships with managers, colleagues, suppliers, service providers, and operational stakeholders.
  • Support the daily running of the dive center by providing technical guidance and ensuring equipment readiness for guests and operational activities.
  • Comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, standard operating procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and work instructions.
  • Apply safety, quality, and environmental management policies and procedures to protect employees, guests, and the public.
  • Identify and contribute to continuous improvement opportunities across dive center systems, maintenance processes, and equipment practices.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Recognized dive equipment servicing certification, such as PADI Equipment Specialist, PSI-PCI Visual Cylinder Inspector, or manufacturer-approved technician certification for major diving equipment brands.
  • Recognized breathing-air compressor technician certification, such as Bauer Compressor Technician, Coltri Compressor Technician, or equivalent certification for high-pressure breathing-air compressor systems.
  • Certified or qualified cylinder technician, with knowledge of inspection, testing, handling, and maintenance requirements.
  • Proven experience in servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing dive equipment, compressors, cylinders, and related technical assets.
  • Strong experience in equipment management, inventory control, spare-parts coordination, and maintenance recordkeeping.
  • Good knowledge of diving health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Valid Fit to Dive Medical certification.

  • Desirable: Ability to communicate in an additional language, preferably Arabic; strong guest experience orientation, particularly within high-end or luxury environments; experience supporting high-end clientele with professionalism and discretion; underwater photography or videography skills; knowledge of marine life identification, including fish, invertebrates, reptiles, and mammals; gas blending knowledge or certification.

Work Environment

This full-time role is based in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, operating within a high-end dive center environment under Galaxea. The Head Technician is expected to work closely with dive operations, maintenance, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure all technical equipment is ready, compliant, and maintained to the required standard, supporting safe, reliable, and guest-focused dive operations.
