About the Role

Tabby is seeking a Business Development Executive to drive SME merchant acquisition for its BNPL platform. This is a full-time, 100% outbound sales role focused on identifying, engaging, and onboarding new merchants. The position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves managing the full sales cycle from lead generation to activation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Generate and manage an end-to-end sales pipeline through self-generated outbound activities, utilizing provided tools and prospect lists.
  • Research and identify high-potential SME merchants, verticals, and micro-markets.
  • Engage business owners, founders, and key decision-makers through high-volume cold calling, multi-channel outreach, field visits, and meetings.
  • Conduct consultative discovery sessions to understand merchant needs and present BNPL, LTF, and other financial solutions.
  • Deliver product demonstrations, prepare tailored commercial proposals, and negotiate terms within approved frameworks.
  • Drive deals to closure, secure internal approvals, and ensure a smooth onboarding process through to live activation and transaction.
  • Maintain a healthy sales funnel by continuously replenishing, qualifying, and prioritizing opportunities.
  • Utilize CRM and sales data to track KPIs, analyze funnel performance, and improve conversion rates.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Risk, Scoring, Onboarding, Product, and Operations to resolve blockers and ensure merchant success.
  • Act as a liaison between merchants and internal stakeholders, providing market intelligence and merchant feedback to the business.
  • Become a subject-matter expert on Tabby's financial solutions, adapting pitches and messaging as products and market conditions evolve.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-1 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a full sales cycle independently.
  • Experience in outbound sales, with a focus on generating new leads and building pipelines from scratch.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and sales data for performance tracking.
