The Shift Supervisor at CROWN Arabia Can Company Ltd plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of a designated production shift, ensuring efficiency, safety, and quality standards are consistently met.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of production operators, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
- Monitor production processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to maintain optimal efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Ensure all safety procedures and company policies are strictly adhered to, promoting a safe working environment.
- Manage production schedules, material flow, and equipment utilization to meet production targets and customer demands.
- Conduct regular quality checks and inspections to ensure products meet CROWN Arabia's high-quality standards.
- Complete accurate production reports, documenting output, scrap rates, and any operational incidents.
- Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to ensure smooth transitions between shifts and effective communication.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for process optimization and waste reduction.
- Handle minor maintenance tasks and coordinate with maintenance staff for larger repairs.
Job Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a technical degree or certification in a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced production setting.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control principles, and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, effective decisions under pressure.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with all levels of staff.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications (*, Microsoft Office).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by shift schedules.
