Join Our Team as a Procurement Officer!
At Safwat Al-Khaleej, we are seeking a seasoned Procurement Officer to optimize our procurement processes to support project timelines and cost efficiency. If you have a passion for strategic sourcing and vendor management, this role is for you!

Job Overview:
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia, with a 12-month contract. The ideal candidate will have 35 years of experience in the construction industry or real estate, and expertise in compliance with Saudi regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement Planning: Develop procurement strategies aligned with project budgets and schedules. Forecast material and equipment needs, and manage inventory.
  • Vendor Management: Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers; conduct audits and performance reviews. Negotiate contracts to secure favorable terms and ensure timely delivery.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to KSA laws, customs, and company policies (*, Saudization, VAT). Mitigate supply chain risks and resolve disputes.
  • Cost Control: Analyze market trends for cost-saving opportunities. Prepare budgets and track procurement expenses.
  • Reporting & Collaboration: Generate reports on procurement metrics for stakeholders. Collaborate with project managers, finance, and logistics teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CPSM, CIPS, or equivalent (preferred).
  • 5+ years of total work experience with 45 years specifically in procurement.
  • Must be an Arab National.

Skills:
  • Expert negotiation and ERP proficiency (*, SAP, Oracle).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Fluent in Arabic and English.

Position Summary:
The Procurement Specialist will be integral in sourcing, negotiating, and acquiring IoT-related hardware and components. Your role will be crucial in meeting customer demands through timely procurement, optimized costs, and fostering strong vendor relationships. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, engineering, and operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Procurement & Supplier Management:
    • Source and purchase IoT hardware like microcontrollers and sensors.
    • Identify and onboard reliable suppliers globally.
    • Manage end-to-end procurement cycles from RFQ to delivery.
    • Monitor supplier KPIs including on-time delivery and quality performance.
  • Demand Fulfillment & Forecasting:
    • Collaborate with Sales and Project Teams to translate customer orders into procurement plans.
    • Plan material requirements to support project execution.
  • Technical & Engineering Coordination:
    • Interpret technical specs in coordination with engineering teams.
    • Ensure compatibility of sourced products with system requirements.
  • Contracting & Cost Optimization:
    • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms.
    • Optimize total landed costs including freight and duties.
  • Systems & Reporting:
    • Manage purchase orders in an ERP system, preferably Odoo.
    • Prepare procurement reports highlighting variances in lead time and cost.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 35 years of procurement experience in IoT or electronics.
  • Proficiency in sourcing from Asia, Europe, or the US.
  • Familiarity with wireless communication technologies.
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP platforms.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills in English.
