About the Role

Action International Services is seeking an Assistant Operator (Saudi National) to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This is a full-time, entry-level position designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are looking to develop their skills in field operations. The role involves supporting pumping equipment and site activities under direct supervision.

Role Purpose and Context

The Assistant Operator I provides essential support to field operations by performing basic manual and assistance tasks related to pumping equipment and site activities. This role focuses on assisting the operations team with equipment handling, maintaining site cleanliness, and preparing for operational tasks, all while learning fundamental safety practices and operational procedures. The primary objective is to gain practical experience with pumping systems, tools, and site operations, ensuring all tasks are completed safely and efficiently under close guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist team members with basic equipment handling and movement.
• Support the cleaning and housekeeping of pumps, tools, hoses, and work areas.
• Aid in the loading and unloading of equipment and materials at the site.
• Provide support for simple rig-up and rig-down tasks as directed.
• Conduct basic visual checks of tools and equipment, reporting any visible damage.
• Adhere to all safety instructions and company procedures consistently.
• Utilize basic hand tools under supervision when required.
• Participate in safety briefings, toolbox talks, and on-the-job training sessions.
• Maintain discipline and ensure proper care of company tools and equipment.
• Report hazards, unsafe acts, or site concerns immediately to the supervisor.
• Perform any other routine tasks assigned by the direct line manager or supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements

• High school education or equivalent (preferred).
• Basic safety or equipment-handling training is considered an advantage.
• No prior experience is required; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.
• Basic understanding of workplace safety practices is an advantage.
• Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.
• Ability to follow clear instructions and collaborate as part of a team.
• Physically fit and capable of working in site-based and outdoor conditions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as required.
• Basic verbal communication skills in English.
