Position: Procurement Engineer

As a Procurement Engineer at FEMCO, you will play a vital role in managing procurement and material control activities essential for our projects. Your responsibilities will involve:
  • Procurement Planning and Strategy:
    • Develop and implement procurement plans that align with the project requirements.
    • Review project documents to forecast material needs.
    • Identify long-lead materials to ensure timely delivery.
    • Coordinate priorities with project teams.
  • Vendor Management:
    • Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors.
    • Negotiate pricing and delivery to ensure cost-effective procurement.
    • Maintain an approved suppliers database and assess their performance.
  • Purchasing and Contract Administration:
    • Prepare and issue purchase orders and contracts.
    • Verify compliance of supplier offers before awarding contracts.
    • Track purchase order statuses and follow up with vendors.
  • Logistics and Material Control:
    • Coordinate material deliveries to project sites.
    • Supervise material reception and storage.
    • Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages.
  • Coordination and Reporting:
    • Serve as the liaison among site teams and project management.
    • Participate in meetings to report on procurement progress.
    • Maintain procurement logs and performance summaries.
  • Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO standards.
    • Maintain documentation for audits.
    • Support budgeting processes with procurement data.
Qualified candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related fields along with 5-8 years of experience in procurement roles, preferably within the construction or oil & gas sectors. Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in ERP systems are essential.
