Job Description
About the Role
eXtra (United Electronics Co.) is seeking a Buyer to join its commercial team. This full-time role, based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, plays a pivotal role in managing product selections, supplier relationships, and inventory strategies within their assigned categories. The objective of this role is to ensure the procurement of high-quality merchandise at competitive prices, directly impacting sales, profitability, and inventory performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage product and supplier selection within designated categories to achieve company objectives.
- Procure high-quality merchandise at the best possible prices to maximize profitability.
- Plan, forecast, and report on sales, profitability, and inventory performance for assigned categories.
- Control category budgets, including sales targets, profitability goals, and inventory levels.
- Maintain healthy inventory turnover rates and develop and implement plans for slow-moving stock.
- Coordinate and execute promotional and advertising initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Evaluate and manage supplier performance, fostering strong and productive relationships.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
- Support and coordinate purchasing and distribution activities across various internal teams.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
- 2-5 years of experience in retail buying or a similar role.
- Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in relevant software.
- Proven analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
- Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties.
- Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving goals.
