Job Description

About the Role

eXtra (United Electronics Co.) is seeking a Buyer to join its commercial team. This full-time role, based in Al Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia, plays a pivotal role in managing product selections, supplier relationships, and inventory strategies within their assigned categories. The objective of this role is to ensure the procurement of high-quality merchandise at competitive prices, directly impacting sales, profitability, and inventory performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product and supplier selection within designated categories to achieve company objectives.
  • Procure high-quality merchandise at the best possible prices to maximize profitability.
  • Plan, forecast, and report on sales, profitability, and inventory performance for assigned categories.
  • Control category budgets, including sales targets, profitability goals, and inventory levels.
  • Maintain healthy inventory turnover rates and develop and implement plans for slow-moving stock.
  • Coordinate and execute promotional and advertising initiatives to drive sales and brand awareness.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer demand to make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Evaluate and manage supplier performance, fostering strong and productive relationships.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing records and ensure all necessary documentation is up-to-date.
  • Support and coordinate purchasing and distribution activities across various internal teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 2-5 years of experience in retail buying or a similar role.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English, spoken and written.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in relevant software.
  • Proven analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with various stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure favorable terms with suppliers.
  • Demonstrated stakeholder management skills, building and maintaining relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a commitment to achieving goals.
