About the Role

EY is seeking a Manager - Audit to join their team in Al Khobar. This full-time position involves leading audit engagements and contributing to business development initiatives within a globally connected professional services environment.

Role Overview

As a Manager in Audit, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of audit engagements. This includes defining the audit strategy in consultation with senior leadership and executing it in accordance with Ernst & Young's policies and protocols. You will also personally handle complex audit procedures and lead teams as required by the engagement's scope. Additionally, you will support the financial management of engagements by organizing staffing, tracking fees, and communicating issues to project leaders. Participation in business development activities is also a key aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of audit engagements by defining and executing audit strategies in compliance with EY policies.
• Execute complex audit procedures and lead engagement teams or parts of teams.
• Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements, including staffing, fee tracking, and issue communication.
• Participate in business development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in external audit.
• Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is required.
• A strong academic record and a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
• Experience with the risk-based audit process.
• Experience in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.
• Proficiency in the Arabic language.

Skills and Capabilities

Candidates should possess strong skills in managing competing priorities, effective resource management, and clear communication. Coaching, mentoring, and counselling experience are also beneficial for this role.
