Database Administrator (Mid Level DBA)

About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a Database Administrator (Mid Level DBA) to join our team in Dammam, Eastern region. This full-time role requires an experienced professional to manage and support enterprise database environments, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability. The position is suitable for candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Database Administrator will be responsible for a range of standard DBA activities, including administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting across various database systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, and/or MySQL, contributing to the stability and efficiency of our database infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform standard DBA activities, including database administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Install, configure, upgrade, patch, and maintain database systems.
• Manage database backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery activities.
• Monitor database performance, availability, capacity, and health.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning.
• Manage users, roles, permissions, and database security.
• Troubleshoot and resolve database-related incidents and performance issues.
• Support database migrations, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure data integrity, availability, and reliability.
• Maintain database documentation, procedures, and configurations.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and development teams on database-related requirements.

Required Experience and Skills

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting enterprise database environments.
• Strong experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency with Oracle.
• Experience with SQL Server.
• Familiarity with MySQL.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern region, within Datamatics Technologies. The role involves working collaboratively with various technical teams to ensure seamless database operations and support.
