About the HSSE Officer Role at Napco National

Napco National is seeking a dedicated HSSE Officer to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Province. This full-time position requires an individual with 5-10 years of experience in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment management. The HSSE Officer will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment across the company's premises.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The HSSE Officer is responsible for a wide range of safety and environmental tasks to maintain operational integrity and employee well-being. This includes:

• Conducting regular safety inspections of company premises, plants, and warehouses to ensure a safe and hygienic atmosphere.
• Verifying that all plant employees wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and work attire.
• Monitoring the safe operation and condition of machinery in production areas.
• Ensuring the proper maintenance and readiness of fire-fighting equipment, including timely refilling.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of daily, weekly, and monthly HSE inspection activities.
• Overseeing hot work operations to ensure they are conducted with proper permits and safety precautions.
• Coordinating with security personnel regarding visitor access and tracking.
• Providing safety and first-aid training to new recruits when necessary.
• Participating in evacuation drills and ensuring clear access to fire safety equipment.
• Implementing fire prevention measures, particularly during warmer months.
• Monitoring drainage systems and coordinating pest control activities.
• Inspecting facility structures, including rooftops, walls, and electrical panels.
• Ensuring the availability and maintenance of first-aid equipment and accessories.
• Providing first aid in the event of an accident.
• Following up on the implementation of Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Promoting health and safety awareness throughout the organization.
• Investigating and reporting all serious personal injury accidents and incidents causing significant property damage.
• Responding to employee safety concerns and immediate emergency situations, including fires.
• Coordinating the registration and removal of hazardous waste.
• Coordinating safety training for personnel in areas such as first aid, CPR, accident prevention, and workplace inspections.
• Assisting management and the HSE team during emergency situations.
• Conducting operational risk assessments and developing mitigation measures.
• Generating and maintaining reports related to the HSE management system, including corrective and preventive actions.
• Proposing HSE improvements, detailing non-conformances, proposed actions, required resources, and implementation plans.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience in HSSE roles.
