About the Role

Saudi AVITO Information Technology Limited Company is seeking a full-time IT Shift Technician to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining both hardware and software components within a dynamic operational environment.

Role Summary

The IT Shift Technician serves as the primary point of contact for IT support, responsible for installing and configuring computer hardware and providing direct assistance to end-users. This position plays a vital role in upholding system integrity and performance through proactive maintenance and timely issue resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive end-user support by troubleshooting and resolving issues related to systems contracted by the customer.
• Support AOS equipment, including servers, workstations, and FIDS Client.
• Offer hardware and software support for Airport Operation Systems (AOS) such as FIDS, TAMS, RMS, IB, CMS, and CATS.
• Assist with Smart Airport Systems, including TDAS, E-gates, and HHT.
• Manage the handover, takeover, and replacement of damaged IT equipment.
• Install IT equipment directly on location as required.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance tasks as an integral part of the Dammam IT team.
• Conduct daily inspections of E-gates, CATS workstations, FIDS Client, and HHT at checkpoints.
• Monitor and verify data center AC units and servers.
• Clean FIDS Display fan filters to ensure optimal performance.
• Provide technical support to users of IT systems within the airport, responding to queries and resolving problems in a timely manner.
• Maintain the IT infrastructure, including servers and other IT equipment, by performing regular maintenance tasks such as software updates, backups, and security checks.
• Monitor IT systems and applications to ensure correct functioning and to identify and resolve any issues or errors.
• Execute installations and upgrades of IT systems and applications efficiently with minimal disruption to airport operations.
• Document IT procedures, including installation and maintenance processes, to ensure consistency and knowledge transfer.
• Provide training to airport staff on the use of IT systems and applications as needed.
• Ensure all IT systems and applications comply with relevant regulations, such as data protection and cybersecurity laws.
• Escalate any unresolved issues or complex problems to the IT Operations Duty Leader or other IT team members as appropriate.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in an IT support or technician role.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Dammam, Eastern Region, where the IT Shift Technician will operate as an integral part of the local IT team. The role primarily involves supporting IT systems and infrastructure within an airport environment.
