About the Maintenance Technician Role

Napco National is seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician to join their team in Dammam, Eastern Region. This role is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, offering an opportunity to contribute to the operational efficiency of the company's machinery and facilities.

Core Responsibilities

The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for a range of tasks aimed at ensuring machinery is in optimal working condition. This includes:

  • Receiving and executing repair requests from the Maintenance Team Leader, adhering to Work Instructions (WI) and Machine Manuals.
  • Troubleshooting breakdowns, seeking assistance from lead technicians or team leaders when necessary.
  • Requesting spare parts via the Spare Parts Requisition Form for pre-approval to manage consumption effectively.
  • Completing repairs and ensuring the work area is cleaned according to Post Maintenance Cleaning WI.
  • Documenting repair completion details, including finishing time, task description, pending tasks, and new findings on the Repair Request Form (RRF).
  • Obtaining feedback and approval from the Production Team Leader on the RRF before submission to the Maintenance Team Leader.
  • Performing scheduled and preventive maintenance tasks based on provided checklists and highlighting any new findings.
  • Carrying out in-house calibration tasks as instructed, following set Calibration Work Instructions.
  • Participating in 5S duties to improve working conditions.

Safety and Compliance

Adherence to safety protocols is paramount. The role requires:

  • Familiarity with all health and safety procedures relevant to the function.
  • Compliance with NAPCO-IFP safety standards and Saudi Labor rules and legislation.
  • Contribution to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) activities and attendance at safety meetings.
  • Participation in all company-offered training.
  • Reporting of any incidents, near misses, unsafe conditions, or acts to the direct supervisor or camp boss if related to accommodation.
  • Immediate correction of unsafe conditions where safe to do so.
  • Ensuring all safety precautions are in place before commencing work.
  • Refusal to perform work when unsafe conditions exist.
  • Proper use of provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Inspection of tools, equipment, and vehicles before use.
  • Familiarity with the emergency response plan and the location of first aid and firefighting equipment.

Qualifications and Experience

The essential qualifications for this position include:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
  • A Technical Institute degree is preferred.

Work Environment and Interfaces

This is a full-time position requiring good physical condition and the ability to work under stress and in alternating shifts. Internal interfaces include all members of the Maintenance Team, while external interfaces involve all Production Sections and the Spare Parts Store.
