About the Role
Advanced Metals Company (AMCO) is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented QC Inspector 2 to join its team in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the quality of workshop operations and maintaining the integrity of measuring and testing instruments. The role involves performing planned quality control and inspection activities, preparing comprehensive reports, and conducting in-house calibration to uphold AMCO's high standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate with workshop Foremen to conduct necessary inspections and quality control checks on workshop job orders, preparing detailed stage inspection reports.
- Witness pressure tests performed by production supervisors for workshop jobs, ensuring adherence to established procedures.
- Perform final inspections and authorize the release of workshop job orders, verifying that all quality control activities have been completed as per the Documentation & Final Inspection check sheet.
- Conduct in-house calibration of linear measuring instruments and calibration of in-house pressure gauges.
- Maintain the current calibration status of all relevant instruments and ensure physical calibration status control tags are accurately updated and displayed.
- Notify the QC Manager regarding the calibration status of measuring or testing instruments requiring external calibration, ensuring timely recalibration according to planned frequencies.
- Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) for any discrepant items identified at each inspection stage and follow up with the QC Manager for their prompt closure.
- Undertake all necessary activities to achieve the quality objectives set for the QA/QC Department.
- Prepare comprehensive QC reports for all completed job orders.
- Ensure that the calibration status of in-house measuring and testing instruments is consistently maintained and up-to-date.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Mechanical Engineering degree or Diploma is required.
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a QC inspection role.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in QC/Inspection processes and methodologies.
- Strong reporting and documentation skills.
- Experience with instrument calibration procedures.
- Ability to effectively raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR).
Work Environment and Details
This is a full-time position based in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role is integral to the QA/QC Department's objectives.
