About the Technical FACTs/Statcom/HVDC Expert Role

GE Vernova is seeking a Technical FACTs/Statcom/HVDC Expert to provide specialized post-sales support for customer issues. Based in Dammam, Eastern region, this full-time position involves addressing technical challenges, including repairs, on-site service, and other service requests. The role operates with significant autonomy within its operational area, contributing to and influencing budgets and operating plans in alignment with company policy. It requires working effectively with cross-functional teams and demands a high degree of judgment and operational skill to achieve results within a specific business area or function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of post-sales technical customer problems.
• Provide multi-level technical support (levels 1, 2, and 3) for post-sale technical issues, with increasing complexity handled at higher levels.
• Develop and maintain expertise within the function, potentially serving as a technical or thought leader.
• Influence policies and ensure delivery within the area of responsibility, collaborating with other organizational units.
• Act as an indirect supervisor, often managing medium to large teams.
• Attract and retain talent within the team.
• Evaluate internal and external business challenges, recommending best practices to enhance products, processes, or services.
• Utilize industry trend knowledge to inform decision-making.
• Encourage creative solutions for complex manufacturing processes, especially those with technical diversity or interdependent production cycles.
• Apply sophisticated operational/product management, manufacturing, or design techniques.
• Collaborate with adjacent functions to resolve problems.
• Assess the quality of received information and question conflicting data for thorough analysis.
• Leverage multiple internal and external resources beyond the immediate function for decision-making.
• Potentially lead functional teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.
• Present business or technical solutions to leadership.
• Communicate complex messages and primarily negotiate internally to gain alignment on different viewpoints.
• Influence colleagues to take action and, when necessary, negotiate with external partners, suppliers, or customers.

Required Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a relevant field, typically 5-10 years.
• Knowledge level comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
