About the Role

Panda Retail Company – Savola Group is seeking an Accountant, General Ledger, to join their team in Jeddah. This is an employee position designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in accounting. The role focuses on maintaining and reconciling specific accounts, resolving supplier/customer disputes, and preparing periodic financial closings.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This involves meticulous account maintenance, timely reconciliation, and the preparation of financial statements for monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual closing periods. The role also includes addressing and resolving any discrepancies or disputes related to supplier and customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide financial information to management through research, analysis of accounting data, and report preparation.
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Document financial transactions by accurately entering account information.
• Recommend financial actions based on the analysis of various accounting options.
• Summarize current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other financial reports.
• Substantiate financial transactions through the auditing of relevant documents.
• Maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending appropriate policies and procedures.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secure financial information by completing regular database backups.
• Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls.
• Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements.
• Answer accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policies and regulations.
• Prepare special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by ensuring the confidentiality of financial information.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of experience in an accounting function. A strong understanding of accounting principles and practices is essential to effectively manage the responsibilities outlined.
