ASSISTANT CONSULTANT CRITICAL CARE SURGICAL CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) in Jeddah is seeking an Assistant Consultant, Critical Care Surgical Critical Care Medicine. This full-time position involves assisting in the provision of medical care within the Critical Care field and supervising interns and residents. The role operates in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules, regulations, and the Hospital’s established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Consultant in providing patient care and management in Critical Care, adhering to the Hospital's medical care standards.
• Deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of Critical Care, aligned with approved clinical privileges.
• Provide consultations for inpatients and emergency room cases upon request, ensuring timely responses within the Hospital’s policy timeframe.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of medical records.
• Provide on-call service, ensuring availability and response within the prescribed timeframe as per Hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge.
• Ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior to patient discharge.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to the specialty as assigned.

Academic Contributions

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows as assigned.
• Participate in the department’s educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and fulfill continuing education requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in Critical Care. Specific educational and certification requirements will align with the Hospital's medical staff bylaws and regulatory standards for Assistant Consultants in Critical Care Surgical Critical Care Medicine.

This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, within the King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center. It is a full-time role requiring dedication to patient care and academic responsibilities within a hospital setting.
