About the Guest Relations Officer Role
Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Guest Relations Officer to serve as a key point of contact for guests. This full-time position involves ensuring guests receive service that aligns with the hotel's values and contributing to memorable experiences by understanding and anticipating diverse guest needs. Effective communication and rapport-building are essential for fostering a welcoming environment.
Core Responsibilities
- Welcome guests upon arrival, adhering to Forbes five-star standards to create a warm atmosphere.
- Facilitate guest check-in and check-out processes, providing comprehensive information on hotel services and amenities.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally to ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of hotel facilities, services, and local attractions to assist guests effectively.
- Coordinate with various hotel departments to ensure seamless service delivery and guest satisfaction.
- Manage and coordinate special guest requests, including room preferences, celebrations, and transportation arrangements.
- Conduct follow-ups with guests during their stay to confirm needs are met and to gather feedback.
- Promote the Shangri-La Circle loyalty program and encourage repeat visits through personalized service.
- Uphold the hotel's standards of service excellence and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Cultural Sensitivity: An understanding and appreciation of diverse cultures, particularly Asian and Arabic, with the ability to navigate communication nuances.
- Empathy: A genuine ability to understand and address guest needs with compassion and attentiveness.
