About the Housekeeping Room Attendant Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Room Attendant to join their team. This full-time position is integral to maintaining the high standards of guest experience expected at the hotel.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and adequate stocking of guestrooms, public areas, work areas, and equipment. This role adheres strictly to the established standards, guidelines, and policies of Shangri-La Hotel.

  • Clean a minimum of 15 guestrooms per 8-hour shift, following established procedures.
  • Prepare rooms designated for occupancy, prioritizing tasks as instructed.
  • Perform turndown service in accordance with established procedures and standards.
  • Promptly report any loss or damage to linen, furniture, fixtures, or equipment to the relevant departments and follow up on necessary actions.
  • Transfer furniture and fixtures as required.
  • Conduct daily checks of light fixtures in assigned restrooms and lockers for cleanliness and condition.
  • Clean walls, mirrors, and lighting to meet cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Clean and scrub sinks and toilet bowls, adhering to cleanliness and hygiene standards.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a room attendant in a five-star hotel is required.
  • The ability to perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Willingness to work extended duty hours as needed.

Experience and Skills

A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience is expected for this position. The role requires attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
