About the Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and requires 2-5 years of experience. The Housekeeping Supervisor will play a key role in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and presentation expected at this luxury hotel, which is situated on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea.

Role Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor, reporting to the Executive Housekeeper and SM-Housekeeping, is responsible for assisting in the direction and control of all housekeeping operations. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that all assigned areas are maintained to established standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and aesthetic appeal.

Key Responsibilities

• Record and document items requiring repair and follow-up.
• Submit recommendations for painting, repairs, furnishings, equipment relocation, and space adjustments to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Coordinate with the Engineering department for necessary repairs and maintenance, and follow up on outstanding work orders.
• Follow up on and re-inspect areas that have not been attended to within the acceptable timeframe.
• Ensure all equipment and areas are cleaned to the required standards.
• Ensure compliance with grooming standards as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
• Assist with housekeeping coordination functions, such as communication, as needed and when workload permits.
• Assist in drafting the housekeeping duty roster by providing information on peak periods up to three days in advance, ensuring daily updates.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor in a five-star hotel is required.
• High proficiency in both written and verbal English.
• Computer skills.
• Effective training skills.
• Willingness to work extended duty hours.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah. The hotel is located on the Jeddah Waterfront, offering views of the Red Sea and proximity to local landmarks and the Red Sea Mall.
