About Shangri-La Jeddah
Shangri-La Jeddah, anchored on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the shores of the Red Sea, sets a new standard for luxury in the city. The hotel features floor-to-ceiling windows, stylish interiors reflecting the sea, a dedicated Kids Club, and innovative dining concepts. We are seeking a Service Associate to join our Service Center team in Jeddah.
The Role of a Service Associate
The Service Associate is responsible for ensuring that all incoming calls to the Service Centre are answered promptly and that guest requests are accurately recorded and followed through with the relevant departments. This role is central to maintaining high standards of guest service and operational efficiency within the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain knowledge of Service Centre operational systems, including PABX, Call Centre System, and Call Accounting Software.
- Adhere to Shangri-La’s standard operating policies and procedures for the Service Centre.
- Handle all calls from guests and external contacts professionally and with care, in line with hotel and Shangri-La policies.
- Ensure correct transmission and receipt of facsimile messages.
- Accurately record and manage all requests for wake-up calls.
- Answer all incoming calls efficiently.
- Record and channel guest requests to the appropriate departments for action.
- Conduct follow-up calls to guests, when necessary, to confirm service or facility defect rectification to their satisfaction.
- Facilitate operator-assisted calls.
- Record guest messages accurately.
- Possess knowledge of all hotel Emergency Procedures and how to manage them.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of working experience in a relevant field.
Required Attributes
- Ability to work flexible hours and shifts as required by operational needs.
- Demonstrated responsibility and ability to take initiative.
- A pleasant, friendly, and cheerful attitude.
Work Type and Location
This is a full-time position based at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah.
