Crane Mechanical Technician

About the Role

Red Sea Gateway Terminal is seeking a Crane Mechanical Technician to join their team in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role involves providing hands-on maintenance services for Quay Cranes (QC) and Yard Cranes (YC), ensuring high standards of work quality and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of Quay Cranes, RTGs, and other lifting equipment.
• Execute maintenance and repair activities in accordance with operational and planning guidelines, ensuring work meets the highest standards within available resources and timeframes.
• Identify technical and process problems, reporting findings to the line manager.
• Ensure effective communication to make information related to equipment repair and maintenance readily available.
• Identify necessary parts and materials for maintenance and repair objectives, reporting these needs to the line manager.

Safety and Compliance

• Execute all tasks safely and in compliance with department, company, and port rules and regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of working areas, tools, and working gear.
• Ensure full and complete maintenance and repair records are kept for planning and analysis purposes.
• Adhere to duty hours as per HR Policy and follow all safety rules, procedures, work instructions, and coexistence rules.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of relevant experience.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role that involves working in hot weather conditions. The position requires exposure to contaminants such as degreasers, oil, and grease, and occasionally to areas with noise and inadequate lighting. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage is mandatory at all times while in the field.
