About the Role

ESET Saudi Arabia is seeking an ESH Safety Engineer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of experience in Environment, Safety, and Health (ESH) to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.

Key Responsibilities

The ESH Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining comprehensive EHS policies and procedures. This includes conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to all relevant local regulations and company EHS standards. The role also involves investigating incidents, accidents, and near misses, preparing detailed reports, and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence. Furthermore, the engineer will organize and deliver safety training and awareness programs for employees, monitor workplace conditions to recommend improvements, and coordinate with clients, contractors, and government authorities on EHS matters. Maintaining accurate EHS records, permits, and documentation is also a critical aspect of this position.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a closely related field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of dedicated EHS experience is required, with a preference for experience within construction, energy, or industrial projects. A strong understanding of local EHS regulations and international standards is essential for this role.

Professional Certifications and Skills

Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or equivalent are highly preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication and leadership abilities, coupled with effective problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English is required, and knowledge of Arabic is considered an advantage.

Work Environment and Compensation

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The offered salary range for this role is SAR 7,500 to SAR 11,250 per month.
