About the Role

Modern Surfaces Contracting Company is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time position requires a professional with a strong background in woodwork and joinery estimation to support the company's tendering process and ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) relevant to woodwork and joinery projects.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for custom furniture, cabinetry, doors, panels, and interior fit-out works.
• Conduct quantity take-offs and perform material analysis.
• Source and evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Prepare tender submissions, including pricing, clarifications, and value engineering options.
• Coordinate with design, production, and project teams to ensure the accuracy of estimates.
• Monitor market rates for materials, labor, and subcontracting works, identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Assist in project budgeting and cost control during the execution phase.
• Maintain estimation records and databases for future reference.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in woodwork or joinery estimation.
• Strong knowledge of materials such as MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, and solid wood.
• Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in estimation and quantity take-off tools, including Excel and AutoCAD. Knowledge of other relevant software is advantageous.
• A good understanding of production processes and installation methods within the woodworking industry.
