About the Role
Shangri-La Jeddah is seeking an experienced and dedicated Executive Housekeeper to join its team. This role is responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, orderliness, and presentation across all hotel areas. The Executive Housekeeper will plan, organize, direct, and control all housekeeping activities to ensure luxury hospitality standards are consistently met. This position offers an opportunity to lead a team within a world-class establishment.
As a key member of the team, the Executive Housekeeper will oversee the upkeep of guest rooms, public areas, and heart-of-the-house spaces, ensuring a welcoming environment that reflects the brand's commitment to guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all housekeeping activities on a daily basis.
- Lead, supervise, and motivate the housekeeping team, including supervisors, room attendants, and laundry staff.
- Maintain team performance and optimize process flow within the housekeeping department.
- Oversee the meticulous maintenance and replenishment of supplies in all guest rooms.
- Ensure that all quality assurance standards are consistently met and upheld across all areas.
- Guarantee that the quality of service delivered is in full compliance with hotel guidelines and policies.
- Adhere to and enforce specified hygiene and personal appearance standards for the hotel staff.
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, ethics, and a positive attitude towards clients and colleagues.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar capacity within a luxury hotel environment is essential.
- Experience within GCC countries is highly preferred.
- A genuine passion for the hospitality industry.
- Enjoyment of interacting with people and providing exceptional service.
- A comprehensive understanding of room operations within a hotel setting.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a guest-oriented approach.
- High proficiency in both written and spoken English.
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and collaboration.
