Join our team at Sidra Capital as a General Accountant where you will play a vital role in ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations across the Group. We specialize in providing Shari’ah-compliant asset management solutions, focusing on private assets including real estate and private finance.

Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare monthly and annual financial statements.
  • Analyze revenues and expenses to ensure accuracy and alignment with accounting principles.
  • Prepare and review monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
  • Process invoices, expense claims, and payment requests in line with approval protocols.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Prepare and issue client invoices and manage petty cash disbursements.
  • Monitor budgets against actual expenditures and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare withholding tax and VAT filings and assist with related audits.
  • Document and maintain internal control procedures and support external audits.
  • Generate financial reports, analyze results, and summarize financial performance.
  • Recommend enhancements to accounting systems, processes, and financial standards.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Manager and Chief Accountant on financial operations.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities and budget preparation.
  • Perform additional accounting and reporting duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of accounting experience, preferably within financial services or investment management.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and general accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (*, Oracle, SAP, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.

Role Description
Aanaab’s Accountant will play a vital role in its finance department. Possessing a deep knowledge of accounting and finance, the Accountant will be responsible for posting journal entries, updating financial statements, maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable, processing monthly payroll, and preparing financial reports. Collaboration with the finance team and other departments to ensure financial accuracy will also be a critical element of this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare financial statements and produce a budget according to the schedule
  • Calculating and preparing the Payable revenue share for all payable partners.
  • Record the fixed assets additions and calculate their depreciation/amortisations.
  • Reporting on the cash basis and accrual basis.
  • Preparing reports and presentations as needed
  • Handle all bank transactions, including the operations and financing activities.
  • Record general ledger entries under supervision
  • Perform monthly bank reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank statements and accounting records.

  • Preparing the monthly withholding taxes
  • Ensure the quarterly reports are ready to be submitted to the Legal auditors on time
  • Support the Legal accountant to prepare ZAKAT returns, withholding taxes, other taxes applicable, and requirements.
  • Processing purchase requests and contracts and ensuring timely follow-up on payment.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least 3 years of prior experience in a similar accounting or finance role is highly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
  • Proficiency in financial software, tools, and accounting systems
  • Knowledge of local financial regulations and tax requirements in Saudi Arabia
  • Professional certifications such as CPA or CMA are considered a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
