About the Role

Rotana Hotels is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is open to candidates with 2-5 years of relevant experience in the hospitality sector.

Role Overview

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing professional and customer-focused service to guests. This role ensures that each guest's stay becomes a memorable experience through consistent engagement and adherence to service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging service to all guests.
  • Execute guest check-in procedures in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Manage guest check-out processes according to defined hotel standards.
  • Handle room sales for walk-in guests and address day-to-day facilities issues proactively.
  • Manage cash inventory, including cashing cheques and foreign currency bills of exchange for hotel guests, adhering to credit policies.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all departments, particularly Housekeeping, Finance, and Reservation.
  • Ensure the Guest Service Desk is consistently staffed, operationally prepared, and adequately stocked to serve as a primary point of contact for guests.
  • Maintain guest privacy by ensuring no personal details are disclosed.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
  • Possess full knowledge of hotel facilities and current happenings.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in hospitality is preferred.
  • Previous experience within the Front Office Department of a hotel is essential.
  • A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in a related role.

Required Skills and Attributes

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English are mandatory.
  • Knowledge of an additional language is an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Computer literacy is an advantage, with previous experience using the Opera system being beneficial.
  • A customer-driven, proactive, and approachable personality.
  • Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-cultural team.
