About the Role

Grand Hyatt The Red Sea is seeking skilled and dedicated Handymen with a specialization in Electrical Maintenance to join their Engineering Department. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and the role is instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel's facilities by providing excellent and consistent service to guests and supporting all operating departments.

Key Responsibilities

As a Handyman - Electrical, your primary focus will be on maintaining the electrical systems and infrastructure of the hotel. Typical responsibilities for this role within a large hospitality complex include:

• Performing routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults and malfunctions promptly and efficiently.
• Installing and maintaining lighting systems, power outlets, and other electrical fixtures.
• Ensuring all electrical work complies with safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Responding to maintenance requests from various hotel departments.
• Assisting with general building maintenance tasks as required.
• Maintaining accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must possess a foundational understanding of electrical systems and general building maintenance. The following qualifications and experience are required:

• Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Handyman in a hotel or a similar large building/complex with central plant operations.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 2 years of college or technical school education in a relevant field.
• A combination of 6 months to 1 year of related experience and/or training will also be considered.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be evaluated.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Electrical Maintenance.

This is a full-time position located in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within the Engineering Department of Grand Hyatt The Red Sea.
