About the Head of Social Media Role

The Glove is seeking an experienced Head of Social Media to lead and develop its social media practice. This full-time leadership position is based in the Makkah Region, specifically in Jeddah and Makkah. The role requires a professional with a social-first approach and extensive agency experience, capable of managing high-performing social media teams and driving social strategy for enterprise clients.

Role Responsibilities

The Head of Social Media will be responsible for:

  • Leading and overseeing the Social Media department to ensure high-quality delivery across client accounts.
  • Developing and executing integrated social media strategies aligned with client business objectives.
  • Building, mentoring, and managing a high-performing team of social media professionals.
  • Driving innovation in content strategy, paid social, community management, influencer marketing, and social listening.
  • Defining governance frameworks, operating models, and best practices for social media delivery.
  • Utilizing platform insights and analytics to optimize campaign performance and demonstrate return on investment.
  • Acting as the senior client-facing leader for strategic discussions, workshops, and new business pitches.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including Creative, Strategy, Digital, Media, and Account Management.
  • Staying informed on emerging social media trends, platform updates, AI-driven marketing tools, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Social Media Marketing, with significant experience gained within a digital, creative, or media agency.
  • Proven experience leading a Social Media department or practice of comparable scale.
  • Strong expertise across major social platforms including Meta, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X (Twitter), Snapchat, and YouTube.
  • A deep understanding of social media analytics, reporting, and performance optimization.
  • Experience designing scalable operating models, governance frameworks, and team structures.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and executive-level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading client presentations, strategic workshops, and business pitches.

Preferred Experience

The following experience is considered advantageous:

  • Experience working with clients in Saudi Arabia (KSA) or the GCC region.
  • Experience within the automotive industry.
  • A strong understanding of influencer marketing, paid social, social commerce, and AI-powered marketing solutions.
  • Experience managing enterprise or multinational client portfolios.
