About the Role
DP World is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a strategic approach to align HR initiatives with business objectives, enhance workforce performance, and support organizational growth, while ensuring adherence to Saudi labor laws and HR best practices. The role is based in Jeddah and Makkah.
Key Responsibilities
The HR Business Partner will act as a strategic partner to the business in KSA, translating DP World's people strategies into actionable plans. This includes overseeing daily HR operations, developing and implementing people strategies, policies, and practices, and providing guidance to line managers on people-related matters. The role involves resolving complex employee relations issues, improving work relationships, and driving initiatives across the HR spectrum. Compliance with Saudi labor laws, GOSI, and Saudization quotas (Nitaqat) is a critical aspect of this position.
Furthermore, the role encompasses talent acquisition responsibilities, including evaluating staffing needs, overseeing recruitment efforts, conducting analyses on talent requirements, and reporting on workforce and succession planning. Coordination with government entities such as HRDF is also required.
Organizational Development and Performance Management are key areas, involving monitoring and leading the performance management cycle, assisting with engagement activities, and contributing to the development and implementation of organizational development policies and programs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role, preferably within the logistics or supply chain industry.
- Professional HR certification (*, CIPD, SHRM) is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of Saudi labor legislation.

- Advanced proficiency in both English and Arabic languages.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage difficult conversations.
- Effective leadership abilities.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive approach and attention to detail.
Performance Metrics
Key performance indicators for this role include attrition/turnover rates, Saudization compliance, employee satisfaction and engagement levels, timely processing of reports and documents, average turnaround time for issue resolution, time-to-hire, onboarding satisfaction, and training participation and skill development.
