About alfanar and the Opportunity
alfanar, headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is a diversified company with extensive operations in construction, manufacturing, and design & development across the Middle East and other countries. alfanar Building Systems is recognized as a Grade I contractor, specializing in the manufacturing and marketing of various building construction products and systems, including ceramic tiles, façade cladding, precast concrete, and interior décor products. We are seeking a dedicated Key Account Manager to join our team in Jeddah.
Role Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to manage key customer accounts, build and maintain strong relationships with the most important clients, and ensure their needs and requirements are met promptly and in accordance with quality standards and company policies. This position is crucial for achieving the planned targets within the Project Sales Department.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide solutions and answers to all requirements and queries from key customers to maintain strong business relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Actively engage potential clients and promote the company’s new products.
- Offer product suggestions and alternatives to customers during the product selection process.
- Upload relevant data onto the C4C (Customer Relationship Management) system.
- Submit samples and necessary documents to clients, following up diligently for approval.
- Propose new ideas and strategies to increase sales.
- Stay updated on competitor activities in the market, including new products, pricing, and promotions, and inform the Project Sales department.
- Prepare and submit quotations to clients, ensuring diligent follow-up until approval.
- Attend team meetings to stay informed and aligned with departmental objectives.
- Monitor and follow up on collections with clients, coordinating accounts for bank posting.
- Provide weekly and monthly progress reports on sales activities and account status.
Managerial Accountabilities
- Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to establish a robust second line of management.
- Address low performance by guiding improvement or managing release, ensuring fair treatment of all subordinates based on performance.
- Assume full responsibility for operations as per the job description and required deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
- Anticipate potential problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them, making necessary and timely decisions.
- Deliver required results punctually, meeting specified quality and cost parameters.
- Make a tangible difference within the area of operation, striving to exceed business expectations.
- Translate corporate goals into actionable business plans, then plan, follow up, and execute these annual or development plans.
- Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Provide periodic work progress reports and monitor and control budgets and expenses to achieve optimum cost efficiency.
- Develop the organizational structure in alignment with current requirements and future development plans.
- Develop and coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, actively seeking automation opportunities.
- Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment in accordance with standard regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Academic Qualification: Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Work Experience: 4 to 6 years of relevant professional experience.
Work Type and Location
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
