About the Laboratory Chemist Role

VEOLIA is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience looking to contribute to ecological transformation within the water treatment sector. As a Laboratory Chemist, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory operations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory activities, including water analysis and the calibration of laboratory and engineering instruments.
• Maintain accurate calibration records for all laboratory equipment.
• Generate professional and reliable laboratory reports to support the Service and Sales business units.
• Prepare chemical solutions, including calibration and standardization solutions, for laboratory use and external applications.
• Supervise the proper disposal of laboratory waste according to established procedures.
• Conduct chemical and biological water analyses following standard procedures and report findings on E-lab within specified timeframes, ensuring high accuracy.
• Manage laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, and equipment, and monitor their expiry dates.
• Adhere to and follow Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) requirements and maintain documentation for audits.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative experiments on chemical and biological parameters to assess and ensure the performance of product selections.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Chemistry.
• 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
