Role Overview

The Mgr Sales I is accountable for proactively soliciting and managing sales opportunities, ensuring that business is transitioned properly and in a timely fashion for effective service delivery. This role involves assisting in leading day-to-day sales activities with a strategic focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships. The primary objective is to enable the achievement of sales objectives and personal sales goals.

Key Responsibilities in Sales and Relationship Building

• Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary, and avoid duplication.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers to facilitate future bookings through activities such as sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
• Develop relationships within the community to strengthen and expand the customer base for sales opportunities.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Provide accurate, complete, and effective turnover of information to Event Management.
• Participate in sales calls with members of the sales team to acquire new business and/or close existing business.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing customer correspondence.

Market Insight and Revenue Maximization

• Identify new business opportunities to achieve personal and location revenue goals.
• Understand the overall market, including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, and supply and demand, to inform effective sales strategies.
• Close the most advantageous opportunities for the location based on prevailing market conditions and specific needs.
• Gain an understanding of the location’s primary target customer and their service expectations, serving them by comprehending their business, business issues, and concerns to offer superior business solutions.

Delivering Exceptional Customer Service

• Support the company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Service customers effectively to grow their share of the account.
• Execute and support the company’s established customer service standards.
• Provide excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company.
• Set a positive example for guest relations.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels, contributing to continuous improvement.
