Job Description

About the Role

L & T Case Equipment Private Limited is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their team in Makkah, with work locations including Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role involves developing, monitoring, and reporting on project schedules and progress for EPC projects, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed EPC project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Prepare and manage baseline schedules, recovery schedules, and look-ahead plans.
  • Monitor project progress against approved schedules and highlight deviations.
  • Perform critical path analysis and recommend corrective actions to mitigate delays.
  • Forecast project completion dates and support project management in schedule decision-making.

Progress Monitoring and Reporting

  • Monitor engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client submissions.
  • Develop project dashboards, progress measurement systems, S-curves, and resource histograms.
  • Track productivity, resource utilization, and key project performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Maintain project planning records and reporting documentation.

Procurement and Manufacturing Coordination

  • Monitor material procurement, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, and site delivery milestones.
  • Forecast material requirements and coordinate manufacturing clearances in line with project schedules.
  • Track vendor and subcontractor deliverables against contractual milestones.
  • Support timely mobilization of suppliers and subcontractors.

Project Controls and Commercial Support

  • Prepare cost summaries and mobilization estimates based on received quotations.
  • Develop techno-commercial reports to monitor project financial performance and overall project health.
  • Assist in cash flow forecasting, cost-to-complete monitoring, and project performance analysis.
  • Support change management, delay analysis, and Extension of Time (EOT) evaluations when required.

Stakeholder Coordination and Qualifications

The role requires coordination with various internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. Salary for this position will be disclosed upon application.

  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, QA/QC, HSE, and commercial teams for schedule updates.
  • Participate in progress review meetings with SEC, National Grid, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Support project management in identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures.
