Sales Engineer

About the Role

Exalto Emirates is seeking a Sales Engineer to join their team in Makkah, covering the cities of Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time role is responsible for driving new business growth and cultivating strong customer relationships within an assigned region. The Sales Engineer will focus on achieving sales targets and net profit goals through direct engagement with clients and strategic sales activities.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to generate new business opportunities and build strong relationships with key customers within the designated territory. This involves conducting product demonstrations, collaborating with internal teams to ensure a positive client experience, and negotiating contracts to meet sales and profitability objectives.

Key Accountabilities

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales revenue and net profit targets.
• Maintain sales volumes, ensure a balanced brand mix, and develop new accounts while nurturing existing customer relationships within the assigned region.
• Identify and engage potential customers within the marine industry to generate new business and expand market presence.
• Conduct outbound sales activities, including cold calling, email outreach, and attending networking events, to introduce products and services to prospective clients.
• Develop and manage a pipeline of qualified leads and sales opportunities, utilizing CRM software to track activities and progress.
• Collaborate with the Inside Sales Engineer to manage proposals, lead tracking, and customer follow-up.
• Conduct product demonstrations and on-site visits to showcase offerings, highlighting features, benefits, and applications.
• Collaborate with internal teams (purchasing, marketing, technical, order management) to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure business and meet company growth objectives.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and activity updates to management using the CRM.
• Monitor collections in coordination with the Accounts Receivable team to ensure timely payment recovery.
• Ensure all sales documentation, including signed invoices and delivery notes, is properly maintained at the branch.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marine, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales within the Marine or a related industry.
• Proven experience in identifying and targeting potential customers.
• Track record of successfully managing and growing a sales pipeline.
• Experience in conducting product demonstrations and site visits.
• Understanding of sales processes and the sales cycle.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with required travel within the designated territory of Jeddah and Makkah. The role involves close collaboration with various internal departments to ensure operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
