About the Role: Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager

Salla is seeking a Senior Lifecycle Marketing Manager to join its team on a full-time basis. This role requires 5-10 years of experience and is based in Jeddah or Makkah. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and executing the end-to-end journey of Salla's merchants, from discovery to growth and retention.

Role Purpose and Impact

This position offers an opportunity to build and optimize the merchant lifecycle system for over 100,000 businesses. The role involves leveraging rich behavioral data and direct communication channels to create personalized, high-converting journeys that activate, retain, and grow stores on the platform. Key areas of impact include Lifecycle Strategy and Architecture, Hands-On Execution and Experimentation, and AI-Forward Personalization at Scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and manage the complete merchant lifecycle, covering acquisition, onboarding, activation, growth, retention, and win-back.
• Define segmentation, establish cohorts, and set behavioral triggers to advance merchants and minimize drop-off.
• Execute and deploy campaigns across multiple channels, including email, WhatsApp, push notifications, and in-app messaging.
• Develop and implement a rigorous experimentation roadmap, utilizing controlled tests, holdout groups, and metrics focused on activation, retention, and customer lifetime value.
• Create dynamic, personalized content and integrate it across various tools and data sources to ensure timely and relevant messaging.
• Scale content and personalization efforts through AI-assisted workflows to maintain operational efficiency.
• Maintain a consolidated, coherent, and continuously optimized merchant journey map.
• Report on stage-conversion and retention outcomes, supported by an active experimentation backlog.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience in owning a customer or merchant lifecycle end-to-end, demonstrating both strategic and execution capabilities with measurable results.
• Deep understanding of lifecycle marketing concepts.
• Hands-on experience in campaign execution using a major lifecycle or customer relationship platform (*, Intercom, Braze, or similar), with technical proficiency to manage triggers, flows, dynamic content, and API-based data connections independently.
• A demonstrated experimentation mindset, including testing, measuring, optimizing, and making data-driven decisions to discontinue underperforming initiatives.
• Experience in building dynamic content systems that integrate multiple data sources into a unified customer journey.
• Active engagement with AI in lifecycle marketing, with a clear perspective on its value and limitations.
• Experience working at or closely with a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) company, preferably within the Middle East region.
• Genuine empathy for merchants and small businesses.

Location and Language Proficiency

Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Jeddah or Makkah. Full working proficiency in both Arabic and English is required, as the role involves writing, reviewing, and shipping native-quality Arabic campaign copy.
