About Panasonic Avionics and the Role

Panasonic Avionics Corporation, a leader in delivering inflight entertainment products such as movies, games, WiFi, and Bluetooth headphone connectivity, is seeking a Supervisor Maintenance Services. Role Overview and Objectives

The Supervisor, Maintenance Services leads and oversees daily line station maintenance operations. This role is critical for ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of inspection, troubleshooting, and repair services on aircraft equipped with Panasonic Avionics systems. A primary objective is the successful dispatch of all overnight aircraft, ensuring 100% seat functionality at departure to support operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The Supervisor collaborates with airline customers, airport authorities, and internal stakeholders to consistently achieve service commitments while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance, and quality.

Key Responsibilities: Maintenance Operations

  • Schedule site personnel to weekly shift patterns based on the customer's flight schedule.
  • Direct Inventory Control and local logistics for customer and Panasonic Avionics owned capital assets.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance activities for systems installed on customer aircraft during overnight holds.
  • Manage local site-specific office responsibilities, including local port Authority personnel identification administration, Customs clearance and security seals, overtime, vehicle maintenance, and office administration and cleanliness.
  • Engage in routine daily customer contacts at the Line Maintenance levels, local airport authorities (including Customs), and Air Freight forwarders and brokers for local logistics.
  • Coordinate with MMS Personnel, MMS Administration Staff, *, and other Panasonic Avionics departments as required to execute MMS agreements specific to the site.
  • Perform onboard maintenance activities and fill-in for absent employees as needed.

Supervisory Duties

  • Hire, train, supervise, and appraise direct reports.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role involves working in various conditions and requires specific physical capabilities:

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to both domestic and international locations.
  • Availability to work any shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Manual dexterity to grasp and work with tool parts and equipment.
  • Ability to climb and work from a ladder or platform, and endure sitting, standing, bending, or twisting for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate under extreme weather conditions and in confined spaces for extended periods.
  • Ability to cope with environmental conditions which may include exposure to congestion and varying noise levels.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license and meet airport authority requirements for access and vehicle operation on premises.

Qualifications and Experience
