MOOD LAB is seeking a dedicated Cost Accountant to analyze production costs and ensure the efficiency of production methods.

Responsibilities:
  • Examine costs of production to determine the most efficient methods.
  • Ensure accurate classification of expenses under Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Research material costs for accuracy in the company’s accounting system.
  • Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare reports comparing standard prices to actual costs.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Monitor accumulation of direct labour, overhead, and other expenses.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or commerce with a specialization in accountancy.
  • 3+ years of experience in accountancy or equivalent roles.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills based on data analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for discussing financial reports with stakeholders.
