About the Role

Rotana Jabal Omar Makkah is seeking a dedicated Chef de Partie to join its kitchen team. This full-time position is based in Makkah and requires a professional with a commitment to delivering high standards of food preparation and guest service.

Role Overview

The Chef de Partie is responsible for the daily preparation of food and execution of assigned duties to meet established quality standards. This role involves active participation in various kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency and consistency in all culinary tasks.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare daily mise en place and food production across different sections of the main kitchen or satellite areas.
• Coordinate daily tasks with the Sous Chef or Executive Chef.
• Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily tasks effectively.
• Maintain the highest standards and consistent quality in daily preparation, staying updated on new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Instruct and lead subordinates through their daily food preparation requirements, actively participating in the setup and supervision of buffets and special functions.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, wastage, and cost control.
• Consult and check on daily requirements, functions, and last-minute events.
• Guide and train subordinates daily to ensure high motivation and an economical working environment.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar culinary role. A strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and team leadership is essential.
