Edition is seeking a dedicated and experienced Food Services Supervisor to join our team in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience in food service operations and supervision.

Role Overview

The Food Services Supervisor is responsible for ensuring optimal service delivery and guest satisfaction by fostering a collaborative team environment. This role involves overseeing daily operations to maintain high standards of service, safety, and efficiency within the food service areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies promptly.
• Execute opening and closing duties, including setting up supplies, cleaning equipment and areas, and securing premises.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, adherence to FIFO principles, and cleanliness standards.
• Conduct scheduled inventories, manage stock levels, and requisition necessary supplies.
• Oversee dining rooms to ensure seating availability, service quality, guest safety, and well-being.
• Process work orders for maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Support management in various HR functions including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Act as a role model and initial contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies; report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions; and complete required safety training.
• Maintain a professional appearance, protect proprietary information, and safeguard company assets.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Develop positive working relationships, support team goals, and address employee concerns appropriately.
• Ensure compliance with quality expectations and standards.
• Identify, recommend, and implement improvements for organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.

Physical Demands

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats, including small print.
• Capable of visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift.
• Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigate through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ability to move up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this role must possess 5-10 years of experience in food service supervision or a related field. A strong understanding of food service operations, guest relations, and team leadership is essential for success in this position.
