About the Role

Cultural Assets Group is seeking a Head of Programming & Activation to lead the strategic development and delivery of cultural programming and live events for a major new cultural and entertainment destination in Jeddah, Makkah. This full-time role requires a minimum of 10 years of experience in a relevant field and is based permanently in Jeddah.

Venue Context and Operations

The landmark venue, located within a prominent historic district, is anchored by cinema and complemented by year-round cultural programming, live events, F&B, retail, and hospitality. Operations alternate between Normal Mode, led by the Operating Company for year-round activities, and Festival Mode, where the Client leads flagship event periods with the Operating Company delivering venue services. Responsibilities for this role apply across both operating modes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of diverse year-round cultural programming and live events.
  • Oversee the activation of the venue, ensuring a compelling and engaging experience for guests across all operating modes.
  • Ensure all programming initiatives align with the Client’s cultural mandate and contribute to the venue’s overall objectives.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal departments, including Operations & Guest Experience, Technical & Venue Operations, and Commercial, Marketing & Partnerships, to ensure seamless program delivery.
  • Contribute to the formulation of annual operating plans and budgets specifically for programming and activation activities.
  • Cultivate and maintain strategic relationships with cultural institutions, government entities, and key stakeholders to enhance programming content and venue activation.

Reporting and Location

This role reports directly to the senior executive overseeing venue operations. The position is permanently based in Jeddah, with the flexibility and willingness to travel between Riyadh and Jeddah as required by business operations.

Required Experience

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in cultural programming, event management, or venue activation within large-scale entertainment or cultural destinations.
  • Demonstrated track record in developing and delivering diverse programming schedules and effectively activating venues to achieve strategic goals.

Performance Indicators

  • Successful delivery and operational stabilization of cultural programming during the Pilot Period.
  • Achievement of venue utilization and audience engagement targets for programmed activities.
  • Effective management of programming budgets and adherence to operational plans.
  • Contribution to overall Client satisfaction with programming and activation initiatives.
