The Role of Housekeeping Supervisor

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the team of Housekeeping Attendants. This involves ensuring that operational objectives are met and that the hotel's standards for cleanliness and maintenance are consistently upheld. The role requires a guest-focused professional who can deliver high levels of customer service and provide effective solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and assign job duties to Housekeeping Attendants.
• Issue keys and necessary supplies to the housekeeping team.
• Monitor and address specific room statuses, including VIPs, Do Not Disturb, Sleep Out, and Double-Lock Rooms, taking appropriate action.
• Attend daily meetings to receive and implement special instructions.
• Verify check-out rooms before reporting them as vacant.
• Receive and fulfill special requests from guests.
• Conduct inspections of cleaned areas using a checklist to ensure adequacy, standard supply levels, and prompt reporting of immediate repairs.
• Complete required reports and manage the handover of found articles to the lost and found department.
• Supervise the cleaning processes for guest rooms, corridors, and stairwells.
• Provide training and assistance to Housekeeping Attendants, and advise superiors on performance.
• Support inventory management and ensure proper handling and maintenance of all housekeeping machinery and equipment.

Candidate Profile

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a similar housekeeping supervisory role within the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards of service and cleanliness.
