About the Investment Operations Officer Role

Nama Capital is seeking an Investment Operations Officer to join its team in Makkah, specifically covering Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on ensuring the efficient and compliant daily operations of investment funds.

Core Responsibilities: Fund Operations

The Investment Operations Officer will manage the day-to-day operations of investment funds. This includes processing transactions, conducting reconciliations, and maintaining operational reports. Key duties involve ensuring the accurate and timely execution of fund subscriptions, redemptions, and Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations. The role also encompasses managing and monitoring fund cash flows, settlements, and liaising with fund managers, administrators, custodians, brokers, and other service providers to ensure smooth operational workflows. A critical aspect of this role is ensuring compliance with Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and internal policies, including the preparation and submission of regulatory reports.

Administration and Client Support

This position supports the onboarding process for new fund investors, ensuring adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements. The officer will coordinate with outsourced fund administrators on accounting, NAV calculations, investor reporting, and fund compliance. Responsibilities extend to overseeing daily transactions, maintaining accurate record-keeping, and supporting the handling of corporate actions, dividends, and other fund-related financial events. Ensuring all required operational documentation is maintained and up-to-date is also a key function.

Accounting and Financial Support

The Investment Operations Officer will provide support to the firm's Investments Operations department with daily financial transactions and bookkeeping for the Funds. This includes assisting with payment processing, invoice reconciliation, and fund-related expense management. The role also involves supporting financial reporting for fund operations in coordination with accounting teams and assisting in budgeting and cash flow management for fund-related activities. Coordination with external auditors for fund-related financial audits and regulatory inspections is also part of the scope.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A minimum of 2 years of experience in fund operations, investment management, or financial services is required. Strong knowledge of Capital Market Authority (CMA) regulations and fund compliance requirements is essential. Experience working with fund managers, fund administrators, custodians, and auditors is highly valued. Proficiency in fund accounting software and financial reporting tools is necessary.
