About the Role:
The Maintenance Mechanical Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of mechanical systems within the Body in White (BIW) production line. This position involves preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure production efficiency and minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on BIW mechanical equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues promptly.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules in alignment with OEM standards.
  • Coordinate calibration plans for jigs and fixtures.
  • Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Support installation of new equipment.
  • Train maintenance technicians on best practices.
  • Collect and analyze maintenance data to improve processes.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance in the automotive industry.
  • Hands-on experience with automotive mechanical systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CMMS and CAD software.

About the Role:
The Maintenance Automation Engineer is responsible for maintaining and optimizing automated systems and equipment within the Body in White (BIW) lines. This role ensures high equipment availability and performance through effective troubleshooting, programming, and preventive maintenance of PLCs and other automation technologies. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams and report directly to the Maintenance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on automated systems including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, motor drives, and robotic arms.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues to minimize production downtime.
  • Modify and optimize PLC programs and robotic routines to improve equipment performance.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new automated equipment in the BIW line.
  • Maintain documentation of automation systems, including wiring diagrams, program backups, and change logs.
  • Collaborate with production and engineering teams to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and support root cause analysis for recurring issues.
  • Train maintenance technicians on automation systems and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Identify spares requirements for control systems.
  • Keep up with current and developing control system trends regarding maintenance.
  • Architect, write, and debug PLC ladder logic.
  • Ensure PLC code interacts with subsystems such as conveyors, robots, and more.
  • Enforce application of Lucid Motors standards.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of experience in automation maintenance within the automotive industry, preferably in BIW.
  • Hands-on experience with PLCs, robotics, and automated assembly systems.
  • Knowledge of TPM, lean manufacturing, and safety standards.
  • Proficiency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
