MMMP Traffic Controller

About the Role

Saudi Railway Company is seeking an MMMP Traffic Controller to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves managing and monitoring railway traffic within the MMMP system, ensuring efficient and safe operations. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in analyzing displayed data and control traffic according to the directions of the MMMP OCC Manager.
• Operate and monitor centralized traffic control systems to coordinate and follow railway traffic.
• Chart rail movement, calculate arrival and departure times, and record rail traffic movements.
• Issue instructions to control the movement of passenger and freight train traffic, as well as on-track mobile maintenance equipment.
• Receive, record, and relay train instructions to train crew via hand-held radio telephone.
• Assist in planning train schedules in MMMP stations to prevent conflicts.
• Ensure cost-effective movement of trains and other on-track equipment to optimize physical and human resources.
• Act quickly according to established protocols in case of emergencies.
• Test, operate, and maintain railway signaling equipment such as power switches and grade crossing warning devices.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Demonstrated ability to operate and monitor complex traffic control systems.
• Proficiency in charting rail movements and managing schedules.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, focusing on the operational control of railway traffic within the MMMP system.
